1374069204 2013-07-16 Production Wells No Violations Jon Scott went with me to help uncover a suspected historical production well location I originally discovered on 7.12.2013. The well was actually a water well. However during our inspection we uncovered a well buried under landscape wood mulch bags and a black plastic tank. The PhD6 meter began picking up % LEL concentrations above 10 % and methane gas readings at .05 meter reading units. Under the bags was a 4 X 4 feet, 5-inch thick slab of concrete with a hole in the middle lined with black plastic/rubber pipe. Location is at the south end of Center Street off of State Route 243 in Coal Grove, Ohio. This slab is located behind a house at 754 High Street. We tried to contact the homeowner at this address to determine if they new any history on this well, but no one was home. There is no historical information in RBDMS on this well. This will be an Idle-Orphan well. I will perform site matrix evaluation and try to contact homeowners to obtain a right of entry.
2124425871 2013-07-16 Production Wells No Violations Accompanied Morgan Button MRI 2 on inspection. Gas meter detected 14 LEL and .05 Ch4 IR. Gas was coming from a 4 by 4 by 5 slab of concrete with a 3 plastic pipe in the middle. The black plastic pipe was melted and broken near the top of the concrete slab.
