1120063614 2005-06-28 Production Wells No Violations Complaint called in to me at 17:45 Hrs. from OEPA on an oil spill at 2747 Romine Rd. I arrived on site at 18:30 Hrs. and found Hanover Fire Dept., and Keith Wolford w/ Kenoil on scene. I was advised by Lieutenant Decker that they had received the fire call at approx. 15:03 Hrs. and arriced on site at 15:30 Hrs. The tank had been hit by lighting and set fire to the equipment building belonging to Mr. Romine. Mr. Wolford and his crew was placing absorbent pads and petsorb on what free oil was left. I asked him approximately how much oil he though was lost. He advised the tank had approx. 70 to 75 Bbls. of fluid in it. Most of the oil was burned and what oil had entered the stream (located to the south of the tank battery) was washed down stream before they arrived. An oil stain on the vegetation in the stream revealed it had traveled approx. fourteen hundred feet. A straw dam was placed in the culvert along with absorbent pads to help contain any more oil from going down stream. I took photos and made a field sketch of the location.
1130861525 2005-11-02 Production Wells No Violations Follow-up revealed all oil and contaminated materials and damaged equipment have been removed. The tank battery has vegetation established and the stream bank vegetation has grown back..
1846924302 2015-10-06 Final Restoration No Violations Inspect location as part of a final restoration status check. Well has been plugged. Location has been restored and production equipment removed. Inspection meets ORC 1509.072 requirements. Time of inspection: 2:03 PM. Weather: 73*F, Sunny
