0273357274 2015-07-21 Production Wells No Violations Met land owner Ed and Katherine Stibley and DOGRM Lorain County Inspector Allie Sherwood on site. The Stibleys have lived here for three years and recently discovered a small sink hole with a steel casing. Casing is 10 ID and 8 below ground surface. Casing is full of fresh water and intermittently leaking gas bubbles. There are zero readings on my Sperian type gas meter. We measured a depth of approximately 14. It is unknown if this well was previously plugged. This well is probably a Clinton well. The Stibleys have just built a new garage and access to this well is very tight. 27 photos taken. ROE paperwork left with the Stibleys. OWP application started. Well is covered with a piece of plywood.
1446123997 2015-09-01 Production Wells No Violations Old Clinton well with 10 ID steel casing open and exposed. Casing is 8 below ground surface and full of fresh water. Gas bubbles intermittently leaking thru inside of casing. Met landowner Ed Stibley and DOGRM Orphan Inspector Norburt Lowder. Mr. Stibley wants OWP application started but does not want yard tore up at this time with plugging equipment. This location is very tight or limited on working space. Mr. Stibley does not want to use access through his neighbors drive way( Mary McCoy). Norburt suggested vault and vent well at this time for minimal damage. Mr. Stibley would be happy with this action. This well is unknown how it was plugged or filled in. Gas bubbles show zero reading on Sperian type gas meter.
1473250915 2016-08-26 Administrative Inspection No Violations This date at 9:06 AM I received a phone call from property owner Ed Stibley. Mr. Stibley is concerned about the orphan well on his property. He removed his porch attachment to allow access to the well. Access is very tight between the garage and home. He would like the well vaulted and vented so he can put his porch back together. He says the last two weeks Gene Chini has not returned his phone calls. I explained Gene had been on vacation and that I was on leave this date and DOGRM Rick Keppler is the new Orphan Well Inspector assigned to Lorain County. I told Mr. Stibley I would forward his message and concerns to Gene Chini.
