| 1443405357 | 2016-11-22 | Production Wells | No Violations | On the day of my inspection following up on Complaint ID 5471, I witnessed the production equipment included 2-100 barrel tanks, a 50 barrel tank, a horizontal separator, a drip, a 2 inch salesmeter with a .75 inch orifice and a chart recorder without a chart all within an earthen dike. There was an area fifteen feet by twenty one feet of oil contamination surrounding the west tank and an area five feet by four feet of heavy oil found in the southwest corner of the dike. The well was found in heavy vegetation and equipped with 8.625 inch casing; 4.5 inch casing, 2.375 inch tubing and a plunger lift system with valves open on the tubing and closed on the casing. Identification was present and production records were current. . I then placed call to Enervest Superintendent Tim McConaha and stated my findings. Mr. McConaha stated that they would begin today to remove the contamination and would be completed by tomorrow. Mr. McConaha also stated that he would also be making plans to remove the tank or tanks after evaluation. |
