A Chiefs Order has been issued to the company. I will do a follow-up on the 27th to see if the violation has been resolved. At this time if it is not I will let my supervisor know.

A compliance notice was issued on 02/12/2013 and the compliance date was 06/12/2013. I have been instructed to do a chiefs order on this well for the compliance notice that was issued. This is an Informal Letter to let you know of the process that will take place. Once you are issued the Chiefs Order you will have 30days to plug the well. If the well is not plugged within the 30days, I will return to do a follow-up inspection and the case will be sent to our lawyers.

He said they still plan on plugging it. The plugging clay is on location with a tarp over it. He did not give me a time frame on plugging the well though. I reminded him he needed to get a plugging permit.

He told me he understood and he said he applied for the permit to plug the well but didnt know the cost went up to $250. He did not send enough money in and his check was returned. He told me he would send in for the permit again with enough money. He does plan on plugging this well.
