1497232514 2017-09-28 Production Wells No Violations Follow-up to Complaint #5708 for non-production. I met with M&R Field Supervisor Rusty Morrison to show him the location of the wellhead and tank battery. He has recently been put in charge of assessing the acquisitions of M&R Investments. Rusty inspected the well and equipment. He said he would need some time to determine if the well could be placed back in production or would need to be plugged. I told Rusty that I would give him some time to come up with a plan for the well. I will check back in 90 days to see if a determination has been made and a Compliance Notice may be issued if necessary. I will update the Complainant about todays meeting. This complaint continues.
1851098564 2017-09-26 Production Wells No Violations Follow-up to Complaint # 5708 that was opened today for non-production. My inspection found the well equipped with a pumping unit. The unit is overgrown with native vegetation and brush, and there is no motor to operate the unit. I could notice a gas odor near the wellhead and the tubing and casing flow lines are equipped with gate valves. The tubing valve was open and I could not determine the disposition of the casing valve at this time. The tank battery was diked and the battery was inundated with 2-3 diameter trees and native vegetation. The battery contains one (1) 100 barrel tank, a vertical separator, and the associated drip bottle and meter run. The ID on the tank indicates Enervest Operating as the owner and is not correct. M&R Investments became the owner of the well on 5/1/17 and had 60 days to post the required ID following transfer and has failed to do so. Production records indicate that the well has not produced commercially since the 1998 reporting year. I spoke with Rusty Morrison (M&R) and he is starting to assess some of the wells that were acquired from Enervest. I gave him the well information and he said he would contact me later this week and we will meet on location. I will wait to meet with Rusty before issuing a Compliance Notice.
