1779834597 2015-05-20 Production Wells No Violations Follow-up to Complaint #5034. I was on location with Supervisor Tom Hill who responded to this complaint on 5/18/15. Tim Cosma (Cedar Valley) was on location overseeing the contractors as they stripped and steamed the tank battery where a drip line had leaked. We walked the scald trail to the northwest for 200 yards where it stopped at a drainage catchment basin that had an overflow into a pond. No oil sheen was found in the catchment or at the pond and tadpoles in the catchment were unaffected by whatever had caused the scalding of the grass to the southeast. We investigated the leach beds on the affected property and found a discharge line from the house or leach beds at the origin of the scalding. Hydrogeologist Kyle Tharp has been referred to collect samples and determine if the scalding is oilfield impact or possibly water softener discharge. The area between the tank battery and the affected grass is not visibly impacted. I will wait on test results to make a final determination.
2109425781 2011-01-19 Drill / Deepen / Reopen No Violations The well has been drilled and completed with a pump jack. The well is connected to the tank battery located near SR 82. Cedar Valley is pumping the well to determine the economic viability of the well. The ID posted during the drilling phase is still at the lease road entrance.
