| 1376420353 | 2013-07-29 | Orphan | No Violations | An inspection of this orphan well revealed 8.25 outside diameter drive pipe with a section of 2.88 outside diameter tubing extended above a steel lid that resembled the top of a wellhead. The lid was flush with the 8.25 drive pipe and contained cement immediately underneath and around the sides. The 2.88 tubing was bridged at the top with dirt/moss and no visible threaded plug at this time. There was no leakage of fluid or natural gas from the wellbore. The well was situated in a remote wooded area with no observed oilfield debris, but would require tree removal for plugging and abandonment. While traveling north on CR 32, access to the well would be just before the gravel driveway for a residence at 1984 CR32 not owned by landowner, Mr. Tom Mathias. A lane exists next to this driveway that leads to the direction of Permit Numbers 60222 and 60223. A GPS reading from this inspection was recorded for the well and entry point into the property. Note: Mr. Mathias is in the process of selling the property. |
