0791552160 2016-02-23 Orphan No Violations At the time of the inspection I was on location with Jason Simmerman and Joshua Schiering of the Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management to conduct an Environmental Impact Review and look into access options for the well. The fluid level inside the well has risen to the top and a trace amount of oil has leaked out of the well. This well is under review for plugging by the Orphan Well Program.
1336133538 2012-03-31 Orphan No Violations At the time of my inspection the well has been cut off or wellhead has rotted off at groung level. Film of oil inside 8 casing. The well is inside a ring of large trees in a low area between Sugar Creek Rd. (CR 93) and Sugar Creek. The well is approximatly 200 east of Sugar Creek Rd and 1900 north of SR 20. The well was reviewed and submitted for Idle and Orphan Status.
1423314430 2015-08-28 Orphan No Violations This inspection was done to determine which trees may be removed to access the location when the wells are plugged and abandoned for the Black Swamp Holding Orphan Well Plugging Project. I was on location with Joe Puperi, Service Forester, Ohio Division of Forestry, and Tony Kryder of Second Oil Company, a plugging contractor. Mr. Puperi identified trees that are potential roost trees for Long-Eared and Indiana bats and should be avoided due to State and Federal Regulations. At the time of the inspection the fluid level inside the well was one inch below ground level and three inches from running over the top of the casing. There was a skim of oil on top of the fresh water in the well and no sign of any leaking gas.
1463532115 2014-05-21 Orphan No Violations At the time of my inspection all access to the well was blocked due to high water from the Sandusky River. An inspection and SEM update will need done at a later date when drier conditions exist.
1823036325 2015-08-20 Orphan No Violations This inspection was done to scout possible access lanes for the Black Swamp Holding Orphan Well Plugging Project. I was on location with Bill Wagner, owner of the property due north of the wells on the Black Swamp Holdings property, and Tony Kryder of Second Oil Company, a contractor putting together bids for plugging the two Black Swamp Holdings wells. Mr. Wagner has given verbal permission to use his property to access the wells and will allow for a certain amount of the access road to be left upon completion of the project. A Right of Entry Application will need to be completed before the contract is finalized and all necessary Landowner Waivers will be obtained at the time of Final Restoration. At the time of the inspection the fluid level inside the well was up to ground level and two inches from running over the top of the casing. There was a skim of oil on top of the fresh water in the well and no sign of any leaking gas.
