A record search revealed that the well location was confused due to Madison Township having two section 7s one on the east and one on the west. Both properties were owned by Cletis Dummit during the drilling. The permit plat map shows the well in the same location that I found it right off Deaver Branch Road and across a Creek in a field. Section 7 (W). The well is disconnected. 5 1/2 casing with a 5 1/2 by 2 swedge, With a 2 ball valve with 2 plug. Valve is closed with handle bent. A 1 steel line is 31 from the well with a coupling and a 1 by 3/8 bushing with a 3/8 plug. Well completion report and Surface Cement report verify 5 1/2 surface casing. Took pictures. This property is for sale. Further research is needed to determine current owner. |

I went to the house of Mr. Dummitt owner of the property to talk with him about resolving the violation. I called at 12:10 pm to talk with Mr. Dummitt and the phone number is not connected. As I was setting in my vehicle, a landowner adjacent to the property approached me and let me know that Mr. Dummitt did not own the land anymore. Further research will be needed. |
