Inspection Data

Inspections Performed

Inspection ID Inspection Date Inspection Type Inspection Result Inspection Comments
1432286559 2018-03-30 Production Wells No Violations Inspected domestic well on 03/30/2018 at the request of a neighboring landowner, Ms. Lisa Smith. Ms. Smith indicated that she had been receiving house gas from the well since she purchased the home from the well owners, but that the gas had been shut-off for several months due to lack of maintenance to the well. The tank battery consists of 1-100 bbl steel tank, located within an earthen dike; 1-meter with a drip and 2-regulators is located nearby. The well is equipped with a pump jack with an electric motor, drip, and meter box. Kenoil well identification is posted at both the tank battery and the wellhead. The gauges at the wellhead were broken, and the electric line through the woods to the wellhead is down. A slight crude oil odor was noted at the wellhead, but no leaks or spills were noted. After discussing the issue with Jennifer Barret (DOGRM Legal Staff), it was agreed that the well no longer qualifies for exempt domestic well status, and the owners must properly register the well and post bond. Will work with the well owners and DOGRM Legal and Surety departments to get the well properly registered. No other problems were noted at the time of the inspection.
