1099673888 2004-11-05 Production Wells No Violations WW case # 04-001. Requested by Rick Simmers to investigate water well complaint from Wayne Eberly @ 18361 Back Massilon Rd. Mr. Eberly complained of gas in water well. Pumped on water well for 10 minutes and it went dry. Waited 35 minutes for well to replenish before turning pump back on. Livestock is watered daily from this well and used in household also. Well is 90 in depth and wells in area are over 200. Advised Mr.and Mrs. Eberly that their water well should be checked by a water well company. Advised them ODNR will not run water samples unless more evidence of oil field related contamination is found. No evidence in visual sample during pumping was found. Mr. Eberly will contact a water well driller to test the gallons per minute.
1936405630 2004-10-26 Production Wells No Violations Arrive on wellsite to be met with a screaming landowner who did not want me checking well.He said that I should be over at his house taking care of his problem first.I advised that he stated that he was having a water well problem which he said was caused by this well. I told him that I would check the well and be to his house next.At this point he began to yell at me and tell me I was no good and that he could see that this was going to be the same as the last time he called.I tried to tell him that I needed the facts from this inspection before I continued to the water well. He told me that this well was leaking out the tanks and causing the leaves to fall off of the trees.I ask if the time of year had that same effect and he began to yell at me again. He said he knew all about the problem and that I was there to cover it over ,just like the last time.I advised that the last time he called it was about at oil spill which he called in and that I had responded to that call. I advised him that the sheen he found on the water was not oil but just vegetation rot. I told him that I did not find one drop oil. He began to yell at me again and said that I covered it up the last time and that he knew what oil was and I just dont do my job.I tried again to tell him the difference between the look of oil and actual oil.Mr Eberly became even more angry and I should have left at this point until I could return with a Supervisor. I continued with my inspeciton after I felt that he had calmed down.I collected a quantab sample after running thru two cycles on pump.I found 28 ppm on my lowest range quantab.I check plumbing fixures next and found no stain or oil in the toilet tank or sink.I next advised Mr Eberly that I had called the office and that a questionaire had been sent out for him to fill it out quickly and send it back.I advised at that after he returned the form that I would return for more samples. He seemed to understand and I left after giving him my phone numbers an
