At base of sinkhole is a borehole that appears to be 8-10 inches in diameter. TD of 126 feet was found using a 200 foot tape measure.Sinkhole is 35 feet off of Chartiers Street. Nearest buildings are two garages, 40 feet and 60 feet away. Closest residence, the house of Edward Schneider, is 95 feet away. Peoples Gas has a meter house and filter/drip facilities 25 feet away, used in the purchase of gas from the nearby Crum #1 well, 003-00958. Crum well is 130 feet away. Ed's son has hole covered by plywood sheeting, surrounded by fencing. Gas readings all 0%. |
