Noted that the pit to be used as the drill pit contained fozen water. Spoke with the drill crew onsite and they informed WQS Higgins that this water was to be pumped into tanks to be utilized during drilling. Informed the drill crew that the sides of the drill pit should be sloped slightly to minimize the possibility of rocks or roots causing the pit liner to be compromised. Spoke with operator representative Doug Miller and after the water in the pit is removed the far side of the pit will be lined with road fabric to insure that the liner is not compromised.
