2701747 Primary Facility 2018-03-06 Routine/Complete Inspection Violation(s) Noted At the direction of Oil & Gas Southwest District management WQS Higgins conducted an onsite inspection of the site. The site was constructed in 2007 by Ergon Exploration. In 2010 the site and well were purchased by Chesapeake Appalachia. In 2016 Chesapeake began the process of plugging the well, work that is still ongoing at the time of the inspection. According to Department documents plugging was completed in January 2017, therefore putting the restoration by deadline to November 2017. In conjunction with plugging the well Chesapeake submitted an ESCGP for the site restoration earthwork that would be necessary. In this submittal Chesapeake outlined stream encroachments that were unpermitted by the original operator, Ergon, and how Chesapeake was proposing to restore the site and address the stream encroachments.
