Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist, represented the Department. Nobody was present for Chesapeake.
The site sign, E&S plan and weekly inspection logs were on site and available for review. The ESCGP-1 (ESG11-015-0083) on site did not reflect the current conditions at the site. After contacting Eric Hottenstein of Chesapeake, it was determined that the site was acquired by Chesapeake with the intention of building a larger pad and drilling more wells. The site was permitted by Chesapeake, but the pad was never built and the ESCGP was cancelled. The well that was observed on site was determined to be a vertical well which was labeled appropriately.
