2566540 Primary Facility 2017-03-02 Routine/Complete Inspection No Violations Noted On February 28, 2017, at 1215 hrs., the Department conducted a routine inspection at the Chesapeake Appalachia, LLC (Chesapeake) Brink Well Pad location in Herrick Township, Bradford County. Nobody was present for Chesapeake. The Department was represented by Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist.

The E&S plan, site sign and weekly inspection reports were on site and available for review. The slopes of the well pad and topsoil stockpile were well vegetated. No erosion issues were observed. An earthen containment berm surrounded the perimeter of the well pad. A gap in the earthen berm led to a rock lined channel that directs stormwater to the infiltration basin.

Two wells were observed to be in production phase during the inspection. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellars. Two production tanks and two GPU's were also on sight. No staining was observed on the pad surface.
