Andrew Hobbins, Water Quality Specialist, represented the Department. Nobody was present for Chesapeake.
The Department could not access the lock box that house the E & S plans because the lock would not open. The site was well vegetated and no erosion issues were observed. An infiltration basin was installed in 2016 and did not yet meet the 70% vegetation requirement. Two wells were connected to production during the inspection A third well was drilled but was not connected to production. The wells were labeled and no bubbling was observed in the well cellars. Two production tanks and three GPUs were on site. The secondary containment for the production tanks was filled about two-thirds from the top of the containment with storm water. The pad was snow covered so no conductivity readings were taken. No staining was observed. No violations were observed during the inspection. |
