2656967 | Primary Facility | 2017-11-03 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | Rig on location for P&A. They are currently rigged up on the 20H at time of inspection. The crew just got done setting final plug across shoe. There are 3 wells on the pad. The 14H and 9H were plugged before the 20H. Both wells were open, bucket in the casing inside flange. Companyman removed bucket for inspection. Casings and Cellars were full of water. No obvious major issues observed or reported at this time. The crew will rig down and move back to the #12H on the other pad to complete the P&A and ultimately complete the series of pluggings on the lease. |
2663568 | Primary Facility | 2017-11-21 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | Routine inspection of 3 plugged wells on the pad, the #20, 14, and 9. The rig is off location following recent plug and abandonment of these wells. All wells had a 2" candy cane vent. No venting was observed. All cellars were full of water at this time. The 20H had small sporadic bubbles in the cellar, not significant enough to detect combustible gas with an altair 5x gas meter. No obvious major issues were observed. |
2670201 | Primary Facility | 2017-12-13 | Administrative/File Review | No Violations Noted | December 13, 2017: Certificate of Well Plugging for the Pardee and Curtin Lumber Co C-14H (023-20141) received, reviewed, signed, and sent to file. |
2689501 | Primary Facility | 2018-01-26 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Routine site inspection at Samson Exploration's Pardee & Curtin Pad D on January 19, 2018. The 3 Marcellus wells have been plugged (023-20127, 023-20141, 023-20149). Each well is represented by a well monument. No well tags were observed on the monuments. I recommend applying a well tag with the API and well permit number to each monument (photo 1).
Reclamation of the well pad continues. Various tanks and production equipment remain onsite (photos 2-3). The freshwater impoundment (FWI) has been restored, seeded, and mulched (photos 4-5). I observed some minor ruts in the restored FWI. I recommend repairing the ruts in the spring and reseeding. |
2696008 | Primary Facility | 2018-02-20 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | Pending | Routine inspection of (3) plugged wells on pad. All three wells had a 2" candy cane vent erected as a marker. No obvious integrity issues were observed.
All wells need to be marked with permit number in accordance with 25 PA code Ch. 78.97 |
2721402 | Primary Facility | 2018-04-23 | Plugging(Includes Plugged/Mined Through) | No Violations Noted | A routine inspection of 3 plugged unconventional wells on the Pardee and Curtin Lumber C9 pad was conducted April 23, 2018. All three wells has 2" candy cane vents with label erected as a plugged well monument. No audible or visual flow was observed at the vents. All casings are cut below grade and the pad is being reclaimed. No obvious issues were observed at this time. |
2745806 | Primary Facility | 2018-06-22 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | Department representative Sue Herzing conducted a routine site inspection at Samson Explorations Pardee & Curtin Pad D on June 22, 2018. I walked the restored FWI and well pad during the site inspection. Both the well pad and FWI are well vegetated and have reached 70% uniform, vegetative cover. Compost sock remains in place around the restored well pad. I recommend removing this sock and submitting a Notice of Termination for this ESCGP.
The 3 Marcellus wells have been plugged (023-20127, 023-20141, 023-20149). Each well is represented by a tagged well monument. I recommend submitted post plugging restoration reports for the above listed plugged wells. No violations noted. |
2759693 | Primary Facility | 2018-08-01 | Site Restoration | No Violations Noted | On behalf of Samson Exploration, ARM Group Inc. has submitted a notice of termination (NOT) for Pardee Curtin CO C-9H (Well Pad D) covered under ESX10-023-0005. This ESCGP covered both the construction and reclamation of Well Pad D and the Freshwater Impoundment (FWI). The Department received this NOT on July 16, 2018.
On August 1, 2018 Department representative Sue Herzing conducted a restoration inspection at the above listed site with Steve Trujilo of Samson Exploration and Joe Kunst of ARM Group. The well pad and FWI have both been restored back to approximate original contours. We walked throughout the restored FWI and restored well pad during the site inspection. Both the well pad and FWI are well vegetated and exceed 70% uniform, vegetative cover. All temporary E&S controls have been removed. The 3 Marcellus wells have been plugged (023-20127, 023-20141, 023-20153). Each well is represented by a tagged well monument. Post plugging site restoration reports have been submitted for the above listed we |
