On Tuesday, while on-site to assess the situation, I spoke on the telephone with Ms. Carey Valor Bell from EQT Production Company (EQT) regarding details of the incident and the remediation. I also conducted site visits on Wednesday March 13 and two (2) site visits on Thursday March 14 to check on the progress of remediation activities. Ms. Valor Bell was also present during the March 14 afternoon site visit.
What was assumed to be an estimated two (2) to three (3) gallons of produced fluid was discovered at the Pierce Well Pad on March 11. The fluid was observed to be "bubbling up" through the well pad gravel along the northeastern side of the well pad behind the GPUs.
