2711563 | Primary Facility | 2018-03-15 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On Thursday, March 15, 2018, I conducted a routine-complete inspection at the Pettit No. 11H horizontal oil well site located in Center Township, Greene County.
The Pettit No. 11H and the Pettit No. 10H are located on the same well pad and associated with different site numbers. The access road and the pad area were in good condition and the site has been stabilized with vegetation. The earthen berm secondary containment structure around the production tanks was observed to be vegetated and in good condition. The production tanks appeared to be in good condition. Although the operator is compliant with applicable regulations, the operator should consider employing secondary containment constructed with impermeable materials. A release of fluid into the earthen berm containment can result in a violation being issued. The gas well and the associated infrastructure appeared to be in good condition and functioning properly. The gas well was labelled. No violations were identified during the inspection. |
2853226 | Primary Facility | 2019-03-06 | Routine/Complete Inspection | No Violations Noted | On Wednesday March 6, 2019 I conducted a routine-complete inspection at the Pettit 11H Oil Well Site located in Center Township, Greene County. The Pettit 11H and Pettit 10H Oil Wells are located on the same well pad although each primary facility is associated with a separate site number.
The access road and the pad area were observed to be in good condition. Uniform vegetative growth was observed through a thin snow cover. The production and oil tanks appeared to be in sound condition. The earthen berm secondary containment structure around the production and oil tanks appeared to be in good condition and was observed to be partially vegetated. Although the operator is compliant with current regulations, they should consider using secondary containment constructed of impermeable materials. A release of fluid within the berm structure can result in a violation being issued to the operator. The oil well and associated infrastructure appeared to be in good condition and functioning properly. The well |
